Simple, Honest Pricing Structure We like to keep things simple at Maid to Clean, so we charge based on number of units, rather than complicated area based quotes. We charge a flat $55/unit, which is the size of a bedroom (approx. 3m x 3m) and for areas larger than this we try to put things in terms of these units. Please note, we also have a 2 unit minimum for all jobs ($110 min charge). This is due to the heavy equipment required for steam cleaning.
We provide prices for our carpet cleaning through using the following guidelines:
Regular Bedroom (approx 3m x 3m) or 1 Unit = $55
Living Room / Large Room or 2 x Units = $110
Stairs or 1.5 x Units = $82.5
Landings/Passageways or 0.5 x Units = $27.5
Sofas (per seat) or 1 Unit = $55
If you have a large amount of carpet we can often provide you an estimate using the above chart and then firm up the price on the day. We can often discount our carpet cleaning prices for larger jobs too, so feel free to ask!
Please remember that carpets need to be vacuumed before they are steam cleaned. If you book one of our regular cleaning services which includes vacuuming of carpets, we can steam clean them after. How long does carpet cleaning take?
An average time per room would be around half an hour, with additional time needed to clean hallways and stairs. This is of course subject to things like room size, furniture, and anything else that may impede our ability to clean.
How long does it take for steam cleaned carpets to dry?
This is dependent on a handful of factors, such as the type/thickness of carpet, the weather that day (and thus air temperature), the type of machine used, and the condition of the carpet. Generally we say between 4-8 hours to fully dry however it’s probably best to allow 24 hours to be safe.
How much does carpet cleaning cost?
We keep our pricing simple, with a flat $55 fee per unit (approx. 3m x 3m) and for areas larger we try to equate to this size. For whole house cleaning we can provide you with an estimate and then confirm the price on the day prior to commencing work.
